Sarah E. Smith, Associate

Sarah E. Smith joined Hoge & Gameros as an associate in 2010.  Ms. Smith’s areas of focus are general real estate and oil and gas practice.  Ms. Smith reviews and drafts various real estate instruments, as well as examines title and drafts title opinions.  Prior to joining Hoge & Gameros, Ms. Smith was a legal intern at Behringer Harvard.  Ms. Smith reviewed and drafted SEC filings and corporate documents and managed investor communications and corporate governance.

Ms. Smith received her J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2008.  She was on the Dean’s List and was the recipient of the James L. and Catherine Nolan Walsh Dean’s Scholarship.  Ms. Smith was the Senior Articles Editor for the SMU Science and Technology Law Review Executive Board, was as Best Comment Finalist and for the SMU Science and Technology Law Review and acted as Secretary for the Real Estate Law Association.  She also attended the SMU Law Oxford Programme: University College.  Ms. Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Letters, magna cum laude, from the University of Oklahoma in 2005.   Ms. Smith minored in both Classical Culture and French, and spent a semester abroad at the Université de Nice, France. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
